BIO
Professional/industry background
I have been working in research and analytics since 2009, pivoting from industry and commercial projects to academia in the late 2010s. My curiosity for research has since led to professional staff positions as a Research Capability Team Leader at the Centre for Academic Development and Research Data and Insights Advisor in the Research Office.
My job is to empower evidence-based decision-making with clear, compelling storytelling and data visualisations that help different audiences make sense of data and research trends. Perpetually driven by curiosity, I enjoy working on various projects that give me an opportunity to combine my analytical and creative interests.
Research background
My MSc in Cognitive Science thesis investigated consciousness and perception in a series of experiments based on the work of Yale researchers Paul Bloom and Adam Bear. As a PhD student in Cognitive & Behavioural Neuroscience, I explored the fascinating interaction between mental imagery, perception, and memory and how it shapes cognition: from face perception to processing and remembering information, especially in the context of individual differences in voluntary and involuntary imagery abilities.
