BIO

Jennifer is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Computer Science. She conducts inter-disciplinary research combining theoretical perspectives and research methodologies from the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and Empirical Software Engineering (ESE) research communities. She has built collaborations with organisations based in New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and Ireland.

 

Her current work is organised around three themes:

Software Development in Practice – Addressing the challenges that industrial software developers and designers face in agile and DevOps environments around collaboration, process, and AI.

Digital Finance – How people negotiate value, trust, and participation in digital financial systems, including emerging technologies such as central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and collaborative finance platforms.

Evaluation Methods for Virtual Reality (VR) – Development of new approaches and supporting tools for assessing user experience, usability in immersive environments, contributing to methodological innovation in HCI research.
