BIO

Anita’s teaching background stems from her experience in community-based education and care centres, where she predominantly worked with children aged three to five years. Since 2003 she has worked as a lecturer in early childhood teacher education as well as delivering professional development to teachers currently working in the sector. In 2015 she completed her PhD which examined children's group dynamics and peer culture at mat time in junior primary school classrooms. Anita's current work primarily focuses on expression (including creative expression) as a core aspect of self-knowledge, relationships, and belonging. Anita is passionate about the artistry of teaching and has won two teaching awards.
