BIO

I am committed to promoting healthy workplaces that are productive, and where people grow and develop in positive ways. My research is multi-disciplinary and mixed method. It concerns public value, capability, and wellbeing in the public, not-for-profit and private sectors. It spans both developing and developed countries. Much of this research is concerned with how both organisational and personal characteristics shape employee experiences, and both personal and organisational capabilities.

Research focal areas concern leadership, workplace bullying, employee wellbeing and resilience, and organisational ambidexterity. I publish in journals such as Public Administration Review, Work and Stress, Gender Work and Organization, Personnel Review,  International Journal of Conflict Management, the Australian Journal of Public Administration, and the European Journal of Marketing. I am an editorial board member of the Review of Public Personnel Administration and a former board member of the Australian New Zealand Academy of Management.
