- CONFERENCE ROLE2022 Australasian Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (A-CSEAR) Conference13 Dec 2022I am an active member of organising committee for a 2022 Australasian Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (A-CSEAR) Conference and for the Emerging Scholars Colloquium 2022. The conference theme for 2022 is “Democratising accounting”. The conference convenors encourage a broad interpretation of “Democratising accounting”. There are 28 presentations including topics and themes relating, but not limited, to stakeholder engagement, the politics of value(s) and valuation, alternative and emergent accounts, counter-accounting and social movements, accounting education, the affective dimensions of accounting, barriers and facilitators of democratisation. My main roles are: • Looking after the conference arrangements such as selecting and coordinating with accommodation and food vendors to make sure logistics and our delegates have been well taken care of. • Promoting the conference to potential authors and delegates • Help with the peer review process. I am a reviewer and discussant for the paper “The use of disclosure strategies to manage a reputation crisis: the Juukan Gorge Cave Blast” and a reviewer of the paper “Corruption, Ethics and Disclosures: The Case of the Club de la Construction in Peru”. • Being a session chair of 2 sessions (out of total 12 sessions) managing the Q&A session after the presentation and making sure sessions run on time: Social and Environmental Disclosure and Civil Society, Social Movements and Social Change
