Katie's research interests include critical research around gender, sexuality and sexual violence. Katie specialises in the use of qualitative research methods and is interested in applying them in the context of research with a social justice focus. 

She is available to supervise research students or collaborate on research projects that include one or more of the following topics:  

• Queer and Trans communities experiences of and access to health education.
• Sources of information for young people about sexual health and/or sexual harassment. 
• Representations of gender and sexuality within education, social media or policy, with a focus on the implications of these representations. 
• Other topics related to queer and trans people's experiences of the world. 
• Other topics related to young people's understandings of and access to information about gender, sexuality and sexual harassment.
