BIO

My research broadly examines Southern Hemisphere climate variability and change, with an emphasis on New Zealand, Antarctica, and the Southern Ocean. I am particularly interested in tropical teleconnections, and how the tropics interact with and drive middle and high latitude atmospheric circulation patterns and weather events. I am interested in time scales ranging synoptic and extreme events to interannual and multi-decadal variability.
