Lou Moses is the Director of the Developing Mind Lab with two branches: DML North (Eugene, Oregon) and DML South (Wellington, New Zealand). He completed his undergraduate degree with First Class Honours in Psychology at the University of Western Australia in 1983 before receiving his doctoral degree from Stanford University in 1991. Following that, he took up an Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He then moved to the University of Oregon for the next 26 years, serving two terms as Department Head along the way. At the beginning of 2019 he moved to Victoria University of Wellington where he served as the Head of the School of Psychology until 2021
