Mariel Lettier is a researcher in Literary Translation, a Teaching Fellow in Spanish and Intercultural Communication and a professional translator.

Her research focuses on cultural diversity in children’s and young adult literature in translation, aiming to raise awareness of the lack of cultural representation in translated YAL and the need for more diversity in translation overall. As a translator, she has worked extensively in the patent, legal and literary fields.
