RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests are in synthetic inorganic chemistry. Most recently I have focussed on developing the chemistry of main group compounds (bismuth, indium, aluminium) and studying their application in the activation of small molecules. Recent highlights include:
- synthesis of bismuth(II) radicals
- low-valent chemistry of group 15 and group 13 metals
- reactivity of aluminium-element multiple bonds
- catalysis promoted by main group compounds
- crystal engineering using hydrogen-bonded arrays
