Michael is Associate Professor for Building Environments at the Wellington School of Architecture
Current research interests:
◾analysis of the performance of buildings as enhancers of people’s health and well-being
◾evaluation of the impact of building design on pedestrian comfort and safety in the city
◾evaluation of environmental quality in relation to health and well-being indoors
◾quality assurance - trusting the results - in digital design BIM and building performance simulation
◾practice involvement includes auditing wind environment impact statements produced for local councils and computer-aided performance analysis of indoor air quality, heating, cooling, daylight and acoustics.
