BIO
Revti Raman is an Associate Professor of International Business and the Head of the School of Marketing & International Business at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He completed his PhD in International Business from the University of Auckland.
His primary research and teaching interests are in International Business and International Management. He has published in the areas of global strategy, global mindset, cultural intelligence, relationship quality, cross-border knowledge management, cross-border acquisitions, and emerging economies. His recent research focus is on corporate environmental strategy and sustainability in the context of international business. His work has been published in high-quality international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. He has secured both internal and external grants for his research projects. He has published under two surnames: Raman and Sharma.
He has taught courses at a range of levels and class sizes: undergraduate – International Management, Global Strategy, Contemporary Issues in International Business; Honours/Masters – International Strategy, Research Methods, Research Design; Taught Masters – International Strategy, Cross Cultural Management; and MBA / EMBA – International Business, Strategic Consultancy. He has significantly contributed to developing new courses and new degrees. He is actively engaged in PhD supervisions.
He has served as an undergraduate and postgraduate director of the International Business program, International Business program leader, deputy Head of School, and acting Head of School. He is a Fellow of the New Zealand India Research Institute. He regularly reviews papers for international conferences and journals. He is an Associate Editor at the Cross Cultural and Strategic Management Journal. He is also on the editorial review board of the Journal of International Management. He loves writing poetry in his native languages: Punjabi and Hindi.
