RESEARCH INTERESTS
Restoration Ecology, Conservation Biology, Spatial Ecology and Urban Ecology.
I have broad taxonomic interests spanning plants, invertebrates, lizards, birds and mammals.
I am interested in responses to ecological managment such as control of invasive species and direct habitat restoration.
In a wetland setting I have researched vegetation succession, tree growth and survival under different pre- and post-planting management regimes.
I have monitored bird, insect and mammal responses to widespread possum and rodent control, in both forest and urban settings.
I am also interested in predicting the future distribution of invasive species using bioclimatic and physiological models and in developing efficient monitoring techniques for birds, mammals and invertebrates (to assist research into all of the above).
