Dr Susanna Chan has been involved in many organic synthesis projects, and is currently working on projects which involves developing analytical methods and enzyme assays to study and monitor the stability of bioconjugates.
After completing her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Auckland, Susanna worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institute of Health in Maryland, USA. She joined the Ferrier Research Institute in November 2016 as a postdoctoral fellow.
“During my time working as a postdoc at the National Cancer Institute and my PhD studies, my research focus has been isolation, purification and structure elucidation of bioactive natural products and the synthesis of those isolated compounds and their analogues.”
