I am an Associate Professor in the School of Health at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. My work spans youth mental health, clinical practice, research, and health service development, with a focus on developing and implementing accessible, evidence-based approaches to improve mental health in communities. 

I began my career as a clinical social worker in youth health and mental health services and subsequently held clinical leadership, research, and service development roles. I am a co-developer of SPARX, a computerised cognitive behavioural therapy programme developed in New Zealand that is publicly available nationally and has been influencial globally. I co-led the Aotearoa New Zealand Youth2000 survey series, which has provided important insights into the health and wellbeing of young people. I am a former President of the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions and have advised on the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital mental health interventions internationally.

My current work brings together clinical practice, research, education, and health service development to strengthen responses to mental health needs. I am also an intern health psychologist in the Whakahāngī Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology programme, working parttime at Aotearoa's first iwi led Youth One Stop Shop - The 502 Rangatahi Ora, part of Ora Toa, Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira Health Services.
