Thomas Voyce teaches recording and mixing techniques for 2-channel works and surround sound composition, along with audio post production for film. As a composer, Thomas works with environmental sound and live electronics, often with extended spatial capture and diffusion, including ambisonic and binaural recording techniques and octophonic speaker arrays.

Thomas is a founding member of the Wellington-based music and production group Rhombus and has worked as a location sound recordist, recording engineer, mix engineer and mastering engineer. He has collaborated on mixed media projects including ‘Aura’ with Dutch lighting company Philips, and ‘WWI Remembered’, an audio-visual installation at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park during the WWI centenary
